I am lucky enough to work from home, doing the best job in the world: TV journalism.
Having cut my teeth in staff jobs on the Sunday Mirror and The Sun, I went freelance six years ago and have built up a broad depth of outlets and TV companies with whom I work regularly.
I write news stories and features for newspapers and magazines including (but by no means exclusively): The Sun, Fabulous, Radio Times, Daily and Sunday Mirror, Event, You, TV & Satellite Weekly, TV Times, Heat, Woman, We Love Telly, and the Telegraph.
I also have a regular TV gossip column in the Daily Mail’s Weekend column: titbits are always welcome, so if you have any gossip, please get in touch!
I am lucky enough to straddle all genres of TV, from comedy and drama to factual and light entertainment. No two days are the same: one day I can be on a set visit on a windy Scarborough beach, watching Julie Walters and Robbie Coltrane flex their acting muscles; the next day I can be live in the X Factor studio, getting an up close and early glimpse of the stars of the future.
I also dip my toes into the corporate world, working directly for TV companies. Please see my ‘Corporate Work’ page for more information on this.
I truly adore my job. Some of the most extaordinary experiences of my life have been for work – whether that be sharing a pizza and bottle of red wine with David Attenborough at his rented cottage in the icy Arctic Circle, cuddling Simon Cowell’s dogs at his LA mansion, or interviewing some of the world’s most famous actors: Nicole Kidman, Daniel Radcliffe, Christian Slater, Dominic Cooper, Idris Elba, Victoria Wood, Sir Ian McKellen, Dame Diana Rigg, Keeley Hawes, and the cast of Downton Abbey, to name but a few.
But I’m equally happy at home, snuggled up on the sofa with my two dogs, Freddie and Merly, watching TV, and actually getting paid for it.
