Alongside writing for newspapers and magazines, I am also available for corporate work.
I have written press packs for every major broadcaster, from BBC and ITV to Channel 4 and Channel 5, from Sky to Discovery, Talkback Thames, and UKTV. I pride myself on packing them full of newsy morsels to keep tabloid journalists happy as well as covering all the basic information needed. Programmes I have worked on in this area include Celebrity Big Brother, Love Island, X Factor, Countryfile, This Morning, and Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.
I have also hosted Q&As at launch events for award-winning hit programmes such as Luther, Doctor Foster, EastEnders, Derren Brown: The Great Art Robbery, The Island with Bear Grylls, and Indian Summers. It’s a different skill to add to my repertoire: steering actors through a live Q&A and helping them to tease out details of the show without giving away too many spoilers.
I have also sat on BAFTA and Edinburgh TV award panels. It is always a huge honour to play a small part in rewarding talent and hard work at these events.
I am also available for any type of writing jobs: in the past I have written biographies for talent websites, as well as award entries, website copy, and advertorials for TV companies.
I have also made regular appearances on, amongst others, Sky News, Five News, BBC Radio 4’s Media Show, Five Live, and various talking head and spin-off shows such as Big Brother’s Little Brother and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here Now! And, to my slight embarrassment, I formed quite a large section of Dynamo: Magician Impossible in which I was driven blindfolded around a race track by Dynamo himself!
